Here at Simpler PR we have been totally hooked on the Olympics… Each of us has been shamelessly taken in by true Olympic Fever – spending evenings glued to the TV! Some of the team were lucky enough to get their hands on those illusive tickets whilst others enjoyed the games from the comfort of the sofa! With such brilliant coverage it’s hard to complain about missing out on tickets, we’ve heard you can even buy bottles of that famous ‘Olympic Spirit’ everyone’s talking about… Or maybe that’s a scam!?
Here’s a bit about Marie’s day out with her family…
“We were lucky enough to enjoy two unforgettable days at the Olympics; one at the North Greenwich Arena for Gymnastics and the other for a rather random (but particularly thrilling) session of Handball! I know it’s been said thousands of times already but the Games Makers were truly the heroes and heroines of this remarkable event. One thing I have learnt from the games is that it is actually ok to be proud to be British! I think we have in the past (rather self-deprecatingly) almost despised patriotism. Thank goodness we can now be proud of our heritage, which I have to admit is pretty remarkable. With my PR head on, London 2012 has been a total and (excusing the pun!) runaway success.
